Unrecognisable external Hard Drive

About two-three hours ago my hard drive was working perfectly, I had just finished putting some new videos and photos on that I had recently taken on my camera.

I later checked and now my Imation Apollo M100 USB is no longer showing up in my mac devices, and when I go to disk utility it says "the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" and the map type is shown unknown as well, it says that it's capacity is zero KB, i've tried searching for the last hour or so, and nothing I found has seemed to work.

I've never had this problem before and I need some help asap, I really need the photos there's alot of family photos which are only on this.

Thanks,

Harvinder

Thanks!
